Fundraiser Success: How ESES Celebrated Earth Day!

As Earth Day celebrations wind down, ESES is thrilled to share the success of our recent fundraiser! This campaign reinforced the power of community in the fight against plastic waste. Thanks to over 20 generous supporters, we raised over $500 to fuel our ongoing work in Kenya, where we collaborate with local partners to combat plastic pollution and promote sustainable solutions.

A Campaign Built on Collaboration

Our limited-time t-shirt fundraiser, hosted in partnership with Custom Ink, gave supporters a simple yet meaningful way to contribute. Whether through purchasing a shirt or making a direct donation, each person played a vital role in advancing our mission. Because of our dedicated team and supporters, the fundraiser was a success! Funds raised will directly support our 2026 Kenya Research Trip. Funds will cover essential costs like airfare, lodging, transportation, and food. This ensures that our work remains thoughtful, impactful, and grounded in the communities we serve.

Why This Matters

Plastic waste doesn’t stop at borders, and neither do we. In sub-Saharan Africa, where waste management systems often struggle to keep up with the influx of single-use plastics, our initiatives focus on research, collaboration, and sustainable action. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to cleaner communities, stronger partnerships, and scalable solutions to plastic pollution.

Stay tuned to hear more about our upcoming trip!

  1. The $500 raised by just 20 supporters really highlights how collective effort can drive meaningful change, especially for regions like sub-Saharan Africa where plastic waste is an overwhelming challenge. It’s refreshing to see funds allocated directly to local fieldwork rather than overhead—that kind of transparency builds real trust.
